This puzzle box is opened with 6 steps. This puzzle box has a unique Hexagon shape design.
The outside design is Traditional Yosegi-zaiku and ichimatsu yosegi. Many Natural woods is used for this marquetry (yosegi).
The Japanese puzzle box (Himitsu-bako) is made only of wood, environmentally-friendly products. This a one of traditional art work of Japan. The origin goes back even to the Edo and Meiji era (1800s) in Japan. It has been handed down by the very few craftsmen.
Because each puzzle box is handmade in Japan, the pattern on each one will be very similar but may vary slightly from the photo shown above.
